• I used the canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6. I got as close as I could and snapped this photo. It was so crowded in Jersey City, NJ for this presidential campaign rally. 2008. I traveled alone that day and waiting about 4 hours in line to see him, but it was worth it.

Inspired by "Rosie The Riveter" who is a cultural icon of the United States, representing theAmerican women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, and Obama's 2008 Presidential Campaign, I created these selfies.

"Rosie" went viral from my flickr gallery, a photo sharing online community for artists and photographers, and ended up published in The Guardian U.K. Newspaper and "A Message For Obama" blurb book. A portion of the proceeds went to provide clean water to villages in Uganda.

A couple photos from Blondell, Marcus, Stephanine and I at the headquarters. Plus, a text from my sister after Obama won the states of Illinois and Connecticut.

A couple emails I sent out while volunteering as a grassroots organizer for Obama in Atlantic City. 2008.

Reflecting on First Lady Michelle Obama's words to me on this postcard sent during President Obama's first term. I'm so grateful for The Obama's who have led our country in dignity, class and grace. Thank you for continuing to be an inspiration!

Supporting First Lady Michelle Obama's education initiative #62MillionGirls through art. Photographed in a alley one night down the street where I live in Atlantic City. 2015.

Collaborated with local mentor groups, Champions of Youth and Boys & Girls Club (Atlantic City Chapter) to promote arts education and First Lady Obama's #62milliongirls.

Words can't express how truly shocked and saddened I was to hear about the passing of Prince Rodgers Nelson on April 21, 2016.

I took this photo 38 weeks ago and felt it was apropos to share at this time.

May this gifted human being's spirit be surrounded by love. His music and gifts to the world will live forever.

  • We'll miss you, Mrs. Edythe Greene!

    Apr 13, 2016, 5:05:00 PM

On April 6, 2016, one of my favorite Atlantic City people passed away. She was 93 years old. Blessed to have spent special moments in 2015 with Mrs. Greene, I'd like to share these treasures now. Thank you Mrs. Greene for your grace, elegance and leadership through the years. My sincere condolences and prayers to the family.

Photographed together after our interview at her apartment in October of 2015.

VIDEO (Short Interview - 4 MINUTES LONG)

Photographed below at The Noyes Arts Garage at Chicken Bone Beach Exhibit in Atlantic City on January 13, 2015. Mrs. Edythe Greene. An Atlantic City gem holds a photo of a tiger. Her husband, Mr. Ralph Greene, who passed away some years ago and who I vividly remember from Sunday school, could always be heard shouting, "Hey Tiger!" as he greeted church members. So, here she is holding a picture of a tiger close to her heart. She's 92 years old, without a cane and still mingling at events! And looking great!! I pray I look as good as Mrs. Greene when I reach her golden age. God bless her.

Mom's purchased original Artwork from "Edie Greene" in 2012.
